PVC inflatable material is a high-performance flexible composite material made by applying a professional PVC coating or lamination process to a high-strength polyester fabric base. It features high tensile strength, excellent abrasion resistance, and superior airtightness, making it suitable for a wide range of inflatable applications. The material can meet environmental standards such as lead-free, 6P, RoHS, and REACH, as well as flame-retardant standards including B1, M2, and NFPA-701.
Applications
PVC inflatable material is widely used in recreational and emergency rescue applications, including:
Inflatable castles
Emergency evacuation slides
Flexible barrier dams
Inflatable water bags
Inflatable kayaks
Other inflatable recreational and emergency rescue equipment

Anhui Kingtex Material Technology Co., Ltd. is a PVC Inflatable Fabric Manufacturer in Chuzhou, Anhui, China. We make PVC inflatable material from 1000D x 1000D high-tenacity polyester filament yarn, woven into dense plain or Panama constructions and coated on both sides with PVC. The range covers 550gsm to 900gsm in widths up to 3.2m, with acrylic or PVDF topcoats, environmental compliance, and flame-retardant options for recreational, rescue and industrial inflatable structures.
Our job is to turn air retention, peel adhesion, tear resistance and flame retardancy into controlled specifications. From yarn selection and weaving density to cold lamination, hot lamination and coating, production stays inside our Custom PVC Inflatable Fabric Factory, so coating uniformity and dimensional stability are repeatable from batch to batch.
The inflatable fabric line is based on 1000D x 1000D polyester filament warp and weft. The differences are weave density, total weight, coating build and optional topcoat. That is why a 650gsm fabric for an inflatable castle and a 900gsm fabric for a military shelter are not the same material; they are different engineered constructions.
| Grade | Weave / density | Tensile warp / weft (N/5cm) | Tear warp / weft (N/5cm) | Peel adhesion (N/5cm) | Primary fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1000D 900gsm Panama Weave Heavy-Duty PVC Fabric for Inflatables | 30 x 30 Panama | 4200 / 3800 | 550 / 500 | 110 | Large exhibition halls, high-pressure structures, military and rescue tents |
| 1000D 850gsm High-Strength PVC Coated Fabric for Inflatables | 23 x 23 plain | 3400 / 2900 | 350 / 280 | 100 | Large arches, rescue cushions, heavy barrier dams, long-service inflatables |
| 1000D 650gsm Heavy-Duty PVC Coated Fabric for Inflatables | 20 x 22 plain | 2800 / 2300 | 300 / 280 | 100 | Inflatable castles, rescue slides, soft barrier dams, water bladders |
The fourth grade, 1000D 550gsm PVC Double-Side Coated Fabric, uses an 18 x 18 plain weave and serves lighter inflatables such as water toys, kayaks, advertising inflatables and products where weight and packing volume matter more than maximum load.
We supply materials, not finished inflatables, so the application fit is defined by pressure, span, impact load, UV exposure and fire code. The fabric must hold its shape under repeated inflation and deflation, resist puncture at contact points and keep the PVC coating bonded at welded seams.
The base fabric is 1000D x 1000D polyester filament yarn, not spun staple, so the material has predictable elongation and good dimensional stability. Plain weave grades use dense yarn counts to improve puncture resistance; the 900gsm Panama weave changes the interlacing pattern to distribute forces more evenly and improve tear propagation resistance.
Coating adhesion is the specification that matters most for HF welding and seam strength. Our measured peel adhesion of 100–110 N/5cm means the coating stays bonded to the base fabric when seams are stressed, folded or exposed to heat. The topcoat choice affects long-term outdoor behavior.
Kingtex operates professional PVC cold lamination, hot lamination and coating lines, plus a complete set of testing instruments. Our quality management system covers the whole process from raw material intake to finished shipment. For inflatable fabric, the measured values in our table are generated with DIN EN ISO 2286, DIN 53354, DIN 53356 and ASTM D751 methods, so your incoming inspection can use the same benchmarks.
Because we control weaving and coating in the same China PVC Inflatable Fabric Manufacturer facility, we can adjust density, coating weight and finish without changing the base yarn system.
A width of up to 3.2m is a practical advantage for automated cutting and HF welding. Wider material means fewer seams, shorter welding time and lower air-leak risk. Controlled coating uniformity also makes electrode settings more stable and reduces sticking during HF welding.
When you request a configuration, please define the fabrication process: HF welding, hot-air welding, adhesive assembly or a combination. We use that information to confirm the topcoat and flame-retardant formulation that suits your production equipment and final operating conditions.
Our PVC inflatable fabric is delivered as roll goods, so installation happens in your workshop or on-site fabrication line. Acceptance should be based on the batch test report, not only on visual inspection. We can agree on sampling for tensile, tear and adhesion at order stage.
Send the following project data with your inquiry. We use it to select the base grade, weave density, coating weight, topcoat and flame-retardant formulation before preparing your quotation:
The 650gsm grade uses a 20 x 22 plain weave with 2800/2300 N/5cm tensile strength; the 900gsm Panama grade uses a 30 x 30 Panama weave with 4200/3800 N/5cm tensile strength. Choose 650gsm for standard castles and rescue slides, and 900gsm for large-span, high-pressure or long-deployment structures.
Yes. As a Custom PVC Inflatable Fabric Factory, we adjust weave density, coating weight, topcoat and FR formulation around the same 1000D polyester base. Send your target weight and mechanical values and we will propose a construction.
Width is available up to 3.2m. Wider format reduces the number of longitudinal seams in large inflatables and improves airtightness. Roll length is confirmed at order stage based on grade and shipping method.
The inflatable fabric can be formulated to meet B1, B2, M2 and NFPA-701, with the 900gsm grade also supporting B-S2/d0. Environmental options include lead-free, 6P, RoHS and REACH.
Batch test data is based on DIN EN ISO 2286 for weight and width, DIN 53354 for tensile, DIN 53356 for tear and ASTM D751 for adhesion. The measured values can be used as incoming inspection benchmarks.
